WONIST Customer Guide

This guide walks you through everything you can do as a customer on the WONIST platform — from creating your account to applying for a loan and tracking your repayments.

1. Getting Started — Creating an Account

Before you can apply for a loan or view any information, you need to create a WONIST account.

Steps:

  1. Open the WONIST website in your browser.
  2. Click the Sign Up button on the home page.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password, then click Continue.
  4. You may be asked to verify your email — check your inbox for a confirmation message and click the link inside.
  5. Once verified, you will be taken to the profile setup page automatically.

To log back in later:

  1. Click Sign In on the home page.
  2. Enter your email address and password.
  3. Click Sign In — you will be taken to your dashboard.

2. Setting Up Your Profile

The first time you log in, WONIST will ask you to complete your profile before you can do anything else. This step is required.

Steps:

  1. After signing in for the first time, you will see a Profile Setup screen.
  2. Fill in the following information:
    • Phone Number — your primary contact number
    • Street Address — where you currently live
    • City — the city or town you live in
    • County — select your county from the dropdown list
  3. Double-check that all information is correct.
  4. Click Save (or Complete Setup).
  5. You will be taken to your customer dashboard.

Note: You cannot apply for a loan or access your dashboard until this step is complete.


3. Applying for a Loan

There are two ways to apply for a loan: as a registered customer, or as a guest without creating an account first.

Option A: Applying as a registered customer (Recommended)

Once your profile is set up, you can submit a loan application directly from your dashboard.

  1. From your dashboard, click Apply for a Loan (or find the Apply option in the menu).

  2. Choose your loan type:

    • Payday Loan — a short-term loan based on your employment and income
    • Small Business Loan — a loan designed to support a business you own or operate
  3. Fill in the application form. The fields you will see depend on the loan type you chose:

    For a Payday Loan:

    • Loan amount you are requesting
    • What the loan is for (purpose)
    • Your employment status and employer name
    • Your monthly income
    • How long you have been employed

    For a Small Business Loan:

    • Loan amount you are requesting
    • What the loan is for (purpose)
    • Your business name and type
    • Monthly business revenue
  4. Guarantor Information (if required): You may be asked to provide details about someone who agrees to be responsible for your loan if you cannot repay it. Fill in their:

    • Full name
    • Phone number
    • Relationship to you
    • Home address
  5. Collateral Information (if required): If you are offering something of value to secure the loan, fill in:

    • Type of collateral (e.g., land, vehicle, equipment)
    • A description of the item
    • Estimated value
  6. Supporting Documents (required): Click Upload Document to attach at least one file that supports your application, such as a pay stub, ID, or business registration.

  7. Review all the information you entered, then click Submit Application.

You will see a confirmation message, and your application will appear on your dashboard with the status Submitted.

Option B: Applying as a Guest

If you prefer to apply before creating an account:

  1. On the WONIST home page, click Apply Now.
  2. Complete the multi-step application form (which includes identity details, loan details, business details, etc.).
  3. Once submitted, you will receive a Claim Token (a 48-character code).
  4. Save this token securely. You will use it to check your status, and later to link the application to your permanent account.

4. Tracking Your Application

After you submit your application, the WONIST team will review it. You can check the status at any time from your dashboard or using your claim token.

To check your application status as a registered customer:

  1. Log in and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Look for the Application Status section — it will show your most recent application.
  3. The status will be one of the following:

| Status | What It Means | |--------|---------------| | Submitted | Your application has been received and is waiting to be reviewed. | | Under Review | A loan officer is currently reviewing your application. | | Approved | Your application was approved. A loan will be created and you will be contacted next. | | Rejected | Your application was not approved. You may see a note explaining why. | | Expired | Your application has expired after 90 days. You must re-apply. |

To check your application status as a guest:

  1. Visit the public status checking page (from the prompt provided when you applied, or a link in your notification).
  2. Enter your Claim Token to view your application status securely without logging in.

If your application is rejected: You are welcome to speak with the WONIST team about what happened and whether you can reapply in the future.


5. Linking a Guest Application to a New Account

If you applied as a guest and your application was processed by a loan officer, you will need to create an account to view the full details and manage the loan.

Steps:

  1. Click Sign Up from the home page.
  2. Complete your account registration.
  3. On the Profile Setup page, choose the I have a Claim Token tab.
  4. Enter the Claim Token you received during your guest application.
  5. Your loan history and profile details will automatically be linked to your new account.

6. Understanding Your Loan

Once your loan is created and active, you can view all the details of your loan from your dashboard.

To view your loan:

  1. Log in and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Look for the Active Loan section. Click on your loan to see the full details.

What you will see:

  • Loan Number — a unique reference number for your loan
  • Principal Amount — the amount of money you borrowed
  • Interest Rate — the percentage charged on your loan
  • Total Amount to Repay — the full amount (principal + interest) you owe over the life of the loan
  • Outstanding Balance — how much you still owe right now
  • Repayment Progress — a progress bar showing how much of the loan you have paid off

Reading your Repayment Schedule:

Your loan comes with a repayment schedule — a table that shows exactly when each payment is due and how much is expected.

| Column | What It Means | |--------|---------------| | Installment # | The number of this payment in order (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) | | Due Date | The date this payment should be made by | | Amount Due | The total amount due for this installment | | Principal | The portion of this payment that goes toward paying back the borrowed amount | | Interest | The portion of this payment that is the fee charged for borrowing | | Status | Whether this installment is upcoming, partial, paid, or overdue |

Installment Statuses:

| Status | What It Means | |--------|---------------| | Upcoming | This payment is not yet due | | Partial | A payment was made, but it did not cover the full amount due | | Paid | This installment has been fully paid | | Overdue | The due date has passed and this payment has not been fully made |


7. Viewing Your Payment History

Every payment that has been recorded against your loan by the WONIST team will appear in your payment history.

To view your payments:

  1. Log in and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Scroll down to the Recent Payments section, or click into your loan and select the Payments tab.

What you will see for each payment:

  • Date — when the payment was recorded
  • Amount — how much was paid
  • Payment Method — how the payment was made (e.g., Cash, Bank Transfer, Check)
  • Reference Number — a reference code if one was provided (e.g., a bank transfer reference)

Note: Payments are recorded by the WONIST team when you make a payment in person or via bank transfer. If you believe a payment is missing, please contact the WONIST office.


8. Downloading Your Loan Contract

Your official loan agreement is available to download as a PDF document once your loan has been created.

To download your contract:

  1. Log in and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click on your loan to open the loan details page.
  3. Look for the Download Contract button.
  4. Click it — the PDF will download to your device.

Your contract contains the full terms and conditions of your loan, including the repayment schedule, interest rate, and any guarantor or collateral agreements.

Tip: Save a copy of your contract in a safe place for your records.
